Yep I did the same, buried my head in "Understanding Exposure", switched to manual and never looked back ;) :lol:

I always used to feel silly when shooting a landscape only to have the flash pop up (as I was using auto no less). I've seen others doing the same thing a few times since though ;)

I have a Meade ETX 70 telescope sitting around and thought I might be able to get some cool moon shots with it if I can connect my 400D.. at which point I got completely lost. I wonder if anyone can steer me in the right direction? I think I need this...

A good North Face jacket should do the job, I think they do some thin gloves too that you can still control the camera through, not sure what they're called though.
