The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

Hi guys, Am new to the club - got my A7 last week (some upgrade from the old Eos 300d!). Took her for a maiden voyage on Thursday, here's a couple of snaps (both from the Zeiss 50mm prime). In retrospect I should have dropped the ISO a couple of steps in the first shot but we live and learn...

    Hello from Newcastle!

Joined this forum a few years ago but forgot about it for a while. Have continued to make photographs and returned because I am ready to try and take my photography to the next level :)

    Beginner photography books/online guides

Recently picked up 'photography of natural things' by Freeman Patterson. It doesn't really cover much of the physics (aperture, focal lengths etc) but is great for learning the basics of composing shots of natural things!

Essaouira is lovely and chefchaouen is even lovelier if you can get there (fabulous blue colours which...

Wear a jacket! Gonna be cold. Banff and Jasper national parks are stunning. Lake Louise in Banff is especially pretty but very touristy. Icefields parkway and Angel glacier also very nice!

    What car do you drive?

Bmw 318 ci... Very impractical car that has more leaks than a grocery shop, but handles dreamily and love the power at high and low revs from the VANOS.
