Joined this forum a few years ago but forgot about it for a while. Have continued to make photographs and returned because I am ready to try and take my photography to the next level :)
Recently picked up 'photography of natural things' by Freeman Patterson. It doesn't really cover much of the physics (aperture, focal lengths etc) but is great for learning the basics of composing shots of natural things!
I like this explanation. Brightness is function of intensity (light 'concentration' at given point on sensor). Intensity stays the same between crop and FF but the larger sensor means more light/charge collected which means more energy output from the sensor.

Wear a jacket! Gonna be cold. Banff and Jasper national parks are stunning. Lake Louise in Banff is especially pretty but very touristy. Icefields parkway and Angel glacier also very nice!

Bmw 318 ci... Very impractical car that has more leaks than a grocery shop, but handles dreamily and love the power at high and low revs from the VANOS.
