Thanks people. One aspect resolved - my Jessops relic only has 2 pins so that's headed for the bin. So now it's 13 bucks from China or £ 100 quid plus from Sony. What really irks is I'd put money on Sony having outsourced the production of theirs to China anyway so there's a nice earner in it...

Hi all. Can anyone shed any (factual) light (no pun) on the old chestnut of using shoe adaptors on the KM and Sony range. I can't quite reconcile Sony wanting over £100 for a protected shoe adaptor to allow the "safe" connection to studio lighting. However I've an old Jessops / (Chinese ?)...
