    min shutter speed

It's very important how stable you can hold the camera, also the stability of your own posture. The best you can do is testing by yourself on Shutter Priority.

    RAW v Jpeg

I don't think that RAW is necessary for most of the photo genres, you do know that JPEG also can be tweaked a little bit without a hit in the quality, right? For me specially, I shoot RAW only on very large dynamic range scenes, where push/pull on shadows and highlights is needed.

[TEST] Modify Fujifilm X-M1 to Full Spectrum

Having some spare time. Removed the "IR-block" and "Sensor Clean" glass filters from the X-trans sensor. Compared to non-modified Fujifilm X-A1, the "Full Spectrum" X-M1 gathers about ~1.5 stops more light in the same light conditions (without IR or UV filter on lens). Posting this just to...

No, I didn't convert it to full spectrum, but it's easy to do, just need to have replacement filter. Or just remove the IR filter from the sensor completely. I'm trying to convert Fujifilm X to IR, but there is more work to do for the disassembly + RE.

Just to share my personal experience with Sony A7 water damaged, had to disassembly all the way down to sensor and stuff, to get to the shutter, wich was defected. Everything works good after replacement.

    Olympus OM-D E-M5, E-M1, E-M10 - Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3 Owners Thread

Olympus cameras have mechanical spring on the mount, it is one pin. If its not "free" '(have to be NOT pressed), camera will not start the sensor, which results in blank black screen. That happens when the lens is not tight (or too tight/loosen bayonet). On the lens there is a hole, where the...

    Wanting a all around lens

You can try Tamron 17-50mm F/2.8 at all range. There are two models (as I know) - one with and one without stabilization. The one without is more sharper and compact. But the stabilazed version will let you shoot at 1/10s in night by hand. Both are very nice priced for their performance.

Suggest me a Point & Shoot

Congrats, nice one for travel camera! You can shoot RAW files with Canon SX240HS, just type "CHDK SX240" in Google. I had experience with SX270HS, very nice results from RAW.

Lightroom. 'Edit in Adobe Photoshop CC 2014' stopped working

I have the same problem on Windows, and I end up it's about the compatibility of the Photoshop/ACR about the camera. I mean, I have no problem with "Edit in Photoshop CC", when I'm working on my Nikon Coolpix A RAW files in Lightroom (latest version here), but when I try this with my Fuji X-T1...

Question_ B&W settings on Camera or after

If i plan to make B/W photos, I switch the camera to B/W profile, but also save the RAW files of the images. I like to see directly in camera viewfinder what would be like the photo, helps for composition by eliminating the color "factor". But when comes to editting, I work with the RAW file and...
