In defence of the megapixel mania... I think it's a leftover from the early 2000s, back when most digital cameras would genuinely produce pixelated images printed anything above a 6x4. The 3.1 megapixel camera came out and suddenly you could print a bit bigger so it was a huge selling point, but...

I think this thread needs a fresh bump - I've just had a clean for the second time since getting my 40D two years ago, and it's worked wonders. It's scary, but if you follow the instructions there's nothing to worry about. Go all ye toggers and clean your sensors! :D

you're right, sorry - I meant too small to type with 10 fingers like on a traditional keyboard (though without a physical keyboard, even if the size is right, it'll be tricky unless they have haptic feedback) it'll be interesting either way because knowing Apple, it won't be released till it's...

+1 for a hopeful Aperture 3 release. but the tablet is what really confuses me - how do you type on it? Too big for thumbs, too small for fingers. I'll be really interested in what they've come up with. (Sorry to hijack the thread :bonk:) :)

All 100% crops at the focus point (not centre) 1/200th f/5.6 1/200th f/4 1/1250th f/2.8 They're not terribly scientific yet (haven't had the time). But I think every other lens in my kit has given me sharper shots.

I know this sounds like a strange comparison. But is it fair to expect a similar level of sharpness from these two lenses? The thing is, I've heard that the 24-70 is incredibly sharp. But at the moment my nifty fifty blows it right away. I know it's a prime, so will always have the edge, but...
