Can't comment on glasses but for years I've smeared a small amount of fairy liquid on the inside of my visor and buffed it with a soft cloth or toilet tissue until the smears have gone. This stops my visor from steaming.

The Duke 2 certainly ticks all the boxes for practicality (Pinlock visor, drop down sunshade, flip front), style and economy but I just love the look of the Broozer and the Boxer. Trouble is, now I've been looking at Cabergs, the Droids caught my eye too:runaway:

Thanks. Good to know about the visor change. I had shortlisted the Broozer and the Boxer but now I find myself looking at the Duke2 as well, seems like a lot of lid for not a lot of cash!!!!!

Can I ask what your opinion is of the Broozer? Noise, comfort etc. Does it feel safe with the detachable chin? Sorry for the questions, its kind of caught my eye but I've never seen one in the real world.

I thought of doing just that but they look perfect (to me) on my Mac. I'll try it on my laptop, poor thing will probably explode but I'm interested to see if it'll make a difference.

    Beginner Portrait fail :(

WOW!! When I said I was a beginner, I didn't realise just how much of one!! Thanks guys for all the info. I understand now where my problem comes from. Calibration solutions aside, I'll get them printed locally 6x4 through trial and error rather than send them off.

Thanks for replying Owen. I did intend posting my attempts here (ref my comment about the right section) however I fully intend to under People and Portraits as I would appreciate pointers in the aesthetic department too. I didn't want that to overshadow my 'technical' issue. :)

    Beginner Portrait fail :(

Hi everybody. I'm totally new on here and to processing my own images. I've come across a bit of a problem that's confused me. My apologies if this is a typical boring noob situation however some input from somebody more knowledgeable than me would be greatly appreciated. Also, apologies if this...

Older Nikon manual focus lens - tight spots on focus ring normal?

New on here, so hello first:). I have a Nikkor 50mm f1.8 ai that I've owned for about thirty years that developed a tight spot when focusing below 1m. When focusing in, the lens barrel extends. I found a small screw on the barrel had slightly come loose and the protrusion was catching the focus...

    Hi from a serial lurker.

While clearing my email inbox, I discovered I first registered on this site over a year ago:eek:. Knowing absolutely no one who shares my passion with photography I found that this site has been my principle source of information and inspiration. I can honestly say that I'm truly humbled by a...
