Sounds like malware to me....... The fact it's getting into Windows pretty much discounts a hardware issue. Do you see this? This doesn't mean anything in itself, but if so, you can at least stop this by using the run command and typing in "shutdown.exe -a"

Buddy, I feel for ya..... I have a Nexus 7 and the gallery thing is just SO illogical, it appears to be folders at first glance but then it throws random images into random folders and some contain the same image, some only 1 or 2 images. It's just retarded..... There's a way to reset and force...
