    Charity shop bargain.

After a bit of checking, it seems that the newer versions of the Vivitar 283 have a trigger voltage of around 9 volts. So I went back to the charity shop and they had reduced the price to £1.00, so I snapped that up. On getting it home I checked the voltage and it was a nice safe 8.5 volts. A...

    Charity shop bargain.

Found two flashguns in a local charity shop. Jessops 360 AFDN and a Vivitar 3500, £7.00 for the pair. Both working 100% as they should. There was a Vivitar 283 in the shop too, priced at £4.00, but Botzilla said the trigger voltage was way too high for a digital camera so I passed on that one.

    Pixsy, are they any good?

A quick response from Pixsy says it is not 'commercially viable' to proceed. As I told them, it is not about the money, it is the nature of the site. Whilst the image they used is not 'porn' but the sites it is on are mainly pornographic and not something I would like to be associated with.

    Pixsy, are they any good?

Thanks for the input. I am not really bothered about making any money out of this, it is the seedy nature of the sites involved that bothers me. I guess I should follow through with Pixsy and hopefully get the images taken down.

Last month I uploaded a few of my images to Pixsy, mainly to see how it worked. One of my images produced 30 matches across 7 countries. I am not bothered about getting money for this, I am more concerned about the image being used without my permission and more concerned about the type of site...

It is about 7 years sice I last posted on here. I basically lost interest in photography and sold my gear. I went back to my first love, running and last year got selected to run for the England Masters team against Wales. I recently got a couple of old Nikons, a D70 & D70s plus a couple of...

I posted this thread a few days ago and it sank like the Titanic :). I raelise that a lot of this stuff is very 'samey', but would appreciate any comments on how to improve them or make them stand out from the crowd.
