I went with the Canon eos 1000d, it's taught me a lot, has been great and I'm impressed with the quality, but now I want the Canon eos550 6 months later! :lol:

Thanks Ady, great information, the 50D does sound more suitable for me - i'm not interested in video. So why aren't 50D's on Canons website? :shrug: Also, is 15mp good enough, I was fancying the whole 18mp thing.....lol

Thanks for your quick response :thumbs: I can't find the 50Ds on the Canon website, have they stopped making them? Why would it be better to go down the 50D route? Yeah, i picked mine up for about £340 so £250 sounds good, should i sell it on here or ebay? ;)

I'm really surprised to find out how cheap Canon 550D's are...around £600. I currently have a 1000D but have been wanting to 'upgrade' for a while, to be honest I'm always disappointed with the clarity...now I've got my head round the settings :lol: I want a camera to offer me a little...

Awe, i hope he gets better soon, poor little man. Although all our dogs are insured, a course of chemo is costing us personally in excess of £3000 at the moment with a specialist oncology department, - the rest covered with insurance (he reached his limit!!). But, we love our dogs as you do...
