    ipad2

Thanks for the comments guys, think I've decided to get one, this was after chatting to a pupil about it yesterday who has one and reckons I could use it in lessons for drawing my (bad) pics rather than using pen and paper, and could even get background picks like straight roads, bends and...

    ipad2

My OH has just offered to buy one for my upcoming birthday, but not sure I want one. It looks good but is it just a gimic? I do have a laptop which basically gets used for surfing the internet. I could do with something to help me process photos and ideally do some work stuff on, main job...

    Mobile Internet dongles for laptops.

I was told not to do this, it didnt work with mine anyway. I managed to get a free one with my orange contract, but even if I had to pay it was only £5 per month. I had a tmobile PAYG but hardly ever used it so the free option seemed much better.

    Are courses/seminars worthwhile for beginners?

It was in Petersfield, it was free as he's just starting out giving group courses rather than 1:1 and wanted our feedback. It's a member on here, the company is Shutterbug his member name is Jamieoliverstone, but a good example is I've just looked at the lesson thread that MD has got running...

    Are courses/seminars worthwhile for beginners?

So bedtime reading last night was...

    Had a great e-mail today!

I would be chuffed to bits to be asked and you never know some of the skateboarders might want copies of their pics. But I'd be happy just to get one of my pics in a paper.

I cant begin to imagine how being in a bomb blast would be, the closest I've ever come to one was one night the IRA bombed the local TA office about a mile or two from my house, none of my sister's or I heard it but my dad did - and I suspect it brought back a lot of wartime memories for him...

Getting the most out of a photo course

Ah just remembered where I left my notebook, took it when I did a one day course at Park Cameras, they supplied me with notes and my very own notebook. Tips for course, make sure you've had a good night's sleep and if you've got anything you particularly want explaining then dont forget to ask.

    My Father Has Passed Away.

Sorry to hear that, like many on here I lost my dad, 11 years ago now, and I still miss him he was 78 but was very healthy up until he died after suffering a stroke. My thoughts are with you and your family at this awful time.
