Hi, not posted on here for a while. Had PC probs and when eventually got a new PC, I had lost a lot of my links and passwords etc. Been busy "practising" with my camera though so have at least got photos that are hopefully worthy of posting :)

Hi, I am shortly going to be buying a Canon 500D (I think) and it looks as though I will have to do so online. Have heard so many horror stories re imitation goods (seen a few very realistic ones) and would be grateful if anyone could reccommend a reliable and reasonable on line outlet? Thanks.

What about the Safari Trekking Harness? My husband (7D) and I both use this and find it's great. It also comes with straps for binoculars.

The lens I use most is a Canon 70 -300 IS USM, but if sitting in a hide will use a Sigma 500 lens (too heavy for me to hand hold). I feel I need something with a higher ISO at least.

Since I took up photography just over a year ago, I have happily been using OH's old Canon 1000D but now wish to upgrade. Want to stay with Canon. I do mainly bird and wildlife and dabble a bit in landsacape, flowers etc and do a lot with our pets. OH not very forth-comming with advice re...

Thanks for all the replies and tips. I have sent them a recorded letter today, but while I wait (without holding my breath) for some action from them, i will contact Canon. Yes it was a Canon I had repaired, but it was my harness straps they burst, hence rendering my new £50.00 harness useless.

Having problems with the above company over damage done to my equipment while with them for repair. I have it in writting on my receipt, that they did cause the damage, but they refuse to as much as return my call to discuss settling my claim. I just wondered if anyone else has had problems...

HI, I hope someone can help me. I have aquired hubbys old 1000D and it is his name that shows in the exif of photos. How do I change this to my name? Thanks.

Hope someone can help. I have hubby's "old" Canon 1000D and have just discovered that in the exif of my photos HIS name is still showing. Can anyone tell me how to change this please? Thanks.
