That looks awesome! Just shown the Mrs and she said "you may as well get a hide!" Hmmm.... :)

Handheld only Rob, it's all wildlife. I have a modified plastic bag for the tripod if I'm shooting landscapes, it's always served me well. But with landscapes, I'd definitely be less likely to be out in inclement weather!

Thank you mate. I can sort of shield it with my bag when putting it away so will have a chance to give it a good wipe down.

Thanks Alan. The common sense bit might be the issue here... :) Take home is that it seems I can definitely be a bit more relaxed in the rain, :)

Ha haa, thank you, that gives me a bit of an idea, it's certainly much wetter than I've let mine get so far! A bit more bravery needed!

Reasonably random question guys, this seemed like as good a place as any to ask it. A7Riv + 100-400GM, how wet can I get it? I'm often putting it away when it's raining wondering if I could keep shooting for a little longer. Appreciate it's not an easy thing to quantify in text! Cheers. Mes

Ahh if you don't know it, it's definitely worth a listen. Absolute genius in my opinion. Good to hear you're happy with the performance of the new glass! :)

Sold all my kit in one big frenzy when I moved to digital. Although it bought me a nice car, if I could have a go in a time machine, I'd definitely still have it all now. Not that I'd be doing anything with it other than wasting time, but what a fun way to do it! Liked your remix too fella...

Love this! I used to have two 303s! And a 606 and an 808. And a 101 and an SH01 and a 106! Wish I still had them!

:D EXACTLY! And I pretty much always bracket too so there is an element of that in almost every shot. Every day is a school day!

Simulated Long Exp of Slater Bridge

@DG Phototraining :) thanks Dave! The bit about distance and gaps makes sense, thanks for that explanation. I've never tried it with anything close up. Next time I'm near some water I'll have a go. As for this: "File -> Scripts -> Load files into stack" THANK YOU!!! I did NOT know that...

Simulated Long Exp of Slater Bridge

Never tried astro but hope to this year. Although my camera is a star eater so it won't be great! :D In my experience, it just really works well and I've never had an issue with it not looking like a normal long exposure, however it's only been a handful of times that I've tried but I'm a...
