    Duxford school

Hi all, just hoping for a bit of advice from the wise; is much of the airshow viewable from the Duxford school grounds? I'm specifically hoping for a few shots of the Lancasters, lenses are 70-200, 100-400 and 150-500 plus teleconverters on a 6D. Thanks, Stu.

    Cameras at test match?

Hi everyone, I'll be going to the third test this week, does anybody know if the Ageas bowl will allow me in with a camera, 120-400 lens and monopod? Thanks in advance, Stu.

    Midlands War...!!

Hi, just a few quick ideas, try museums eg RAF Cosford or look for regimental museums, castles, churches with effigies, stained glass or sometimes military flags, there's all kinds of re-enactment groups active over the summer so that may be a possible source of a few shots, HTH, Stu.

Anyone Not use a camera strap

Never used to bother with one at all until I dropped my 30D down the steps in the keep at Castle Rising , awful lot of bits came off. Now have Optech straps all the time. Stu.

Where is this? Just for fun.

I remember visiting this place as a nipper in about 1962, I think it's south lake district but don't recall exactly. Isn't googling it cheating a bit?

    hdew cameras?

I've just bought a 24-105 from these people, ordered Monday and arrived today so I couldn't be more pleased with their service especially at the price I paid. Yes they must be grey imports but I can live with that and I'd buy from them again. Stu.

    New desktop spec

Thanks for all your thoughts chaps, it sounds like I'm not too far off the mark with my first ideas. Unfortunately it's now on hold for a little while as a new clutch has cancelled out the pc funds. Cheers, Stu.

    New desktop spec

Good idea schizophonic, I'll bear that in mind hopefully it'll give a little future proofing; I may even opt for a cheaper GPU as the 5770 might be a bit of overkill. Stu.

Anyone been to Woburn Safari Park?

Sorry to be pedantic but you are not allowed to drive around the safari park with windows down, on the roads through the deer park it's fine though. If there's any doubt contact Woburn on 01525- 290407 for clarification. HTH, Stu.

    New desktop spec

Thanks for that David, looks like I'll have to tread carefully; tbh the cost of components is more than having someone else build it so I don't see the point of messing about. That and being ham-fisted..... Thanks for your input Brian, I did realise 64bit was the way to go but I won't be...
