oops, I run my 40D at 3200ISO quite a lot!! That would be great if you wouldn't mind. just keen to see the real difference and see how my computer copes! :) thanks for the comments, just looking at a few websites :)

think will resort to plan B - use my filters to get the exposure I want [or the best I can get!] and PS the colour cast out. Learnt a few new PS things today and had a play to remove cast. Just an edit of my jpeg so some noise and more could be done but its a learning curve.... Higger Tor...
