    Canon 40D replacement?

Thank you all for your time and thoughts, nice they echo my thoughts a 7Dii would be a good option. Just didn't want to miss something else I wasn't aware of. I'm quite curious of full frame but 'need' the crop sensor for my lens range. Maybe 'old' tech but I do think a camera is only as good...

    Canon 40D replacement?

Hello! My trusty (and old!) 40D has given up, very out of touch for kit as only look when I need to replace something. Hoping people could share some thought what's best to replace it with? Motorsport use / taking on walks not conserned about pixel count or fancy functions. Just a good...

Would anybody email me a RAW 7dII Image?

Hi! Im on the hunt for an upgrade from my now dead canon 40d after the dreaded err99 message :( im considering the 7D Mk II and wondered if anybody would be kind enough to email me a RAW file so I can take a look at in detail. Ideally something action shot on a 70-200 L f4 / 100 - 400 lens so...

DSLR case for protection in a normal backpack

I use a Camera Care Systems padded case [they went bump so there cheap on ebay, pop it in the washing machine and they look like new!] which I use as a bag in its own right and also pop it into my ruck sack when hiking, its very well padded. My other half uses a Crumpler banana hammock which is...

ND grad filter magenta colour cast issues

think will resort to plan B - use my filters to get the exposure I want [or the best I can get!] and PS the colour cast out. Learnt a few new PS things today and had a play to remove cast. Just an edit of my jpeg so some noise and more could be done but its a learning curve.... Higger Tor...

ND grad filter magenta colour cast issues

Cheers for all your advice :) ST4 - love the photos especially the mountain range. Think I will have to accept limitations in a 7yr old camera and 'cheaper' filters. Out of interest, the other camera I was swapping filters with and they has no cast was an Olympus so 2x crop so no FF! I am...

ND grad filter magenta colour cast issues

Stu - cheers for your thoughts and time. just tried with no CPL and still a cast shown. Maybe I just need to bite the bullet and buy better filters! Brian, I have nothing against PS, I just prefer the satisfaction of trying to master camera technique and capturing what I see. I don't really...

ND grad filter magenta colour cast issues

I was wrong then! :) Assumption is dangerous!! But thanks for the link, a very interesting article and just learnt a new technique to try! But the same filter [brand irrelevant] on different camera one with cast, one without cast - leads me to think its a camera setting? Cheers bob
