Thats really useful, albeit, quite alarming, thank you. I didn’t read up on the head admittedly before purchasing, it’s also on a set of 055 legs. Maybe the L bracket isn’t the way to go after all. I’ll have to do a little research on the Q6 attachment.
I bought a Manfrotto XPro ballhead with the top lock head. I can’t seem to find an L bracket option that would fit (Sony A73) Of course, Manfrotto state to not use 3rd party brackets but their own website doesn’t suggest that their very extortionately priced versions fit. It seems to be a Q6...
My d-lites are probably 8-10 years old and still going strong. Occasionally I get a period of mis-firing but I haven’t really sussed the issue (sorry). I usually turn off, remove the remote and go again. There’s part of me that thinks there’s a dead spot with connectivity as it happens low down...
Thanks Rob. My wife hates that too, so hardly take any of her. However, because she’s been doing these crafts things with the little one, I have caught her. Especially the colourful elephants they made out of milk bottles. Though, she did end up doing both of them herself!!
I struggle with...
I would have never painted stones before this..
Or probably not have seen her first hand stands. Though I was a bit slow off the mark with the 55 being a bit tight, but hey ho, it was what was to hand.
We've had the bubbles out a fair bit.
And enjoyed doing some reading etc.

You’re right, going out to use your gear is what most people do, though there’s plenty you can still do at home. I meant that I’ve just not used the 24 much at all since I’ve had it.
On a personal level, I’ve been snapping away at home as a mini record of what we’ve been doing to keep sane...
Think I might put my 24 art for sale if anyone’s interested. Just haven’t used it tbf and it’s as new really. Shame sat there doing nothing when I have another little project that the money could go towards.
Having been playing with the telescope this last week, a T2 adapter arrived yesterday just in time to try the A7 on the scope. Ran into the technical snag of not being able to focus close enough. Ah well. Read up on it and now need to spend another few £s on another gadget that may or not work...
That’s been the problem with mine tbh, tracking. I never did set mine up, although it came with one. So that’s my weekend mini project. Wasn’t clear enough last night to set it up around the celestial point.
I’ll order one of those adaptors today. Got the scope out last night and set it up again - clearly I hadn’t before. Was looking at new eye pieces last night, might buy some. Assume you need a Barlow lens with T adaptor to mount or does the adaptor mentioned mount to a standard eye piece?
