    Where to get film developed

Hi all, I am very spoilt in that I usually am able to get my film developed at work, for free, by the photography department. Same day even... That was until their 30 year old dip and dunk development machine died and seems to be irrepairable. Now I have to get it done in the real world. A few...

    Value Range Finder Cameras

Are people suggesting that the 35RC is unreliable? I really need a working range finder and meter for the way I like to shoot. Using an external meter is fine for certain things but I like the convienence of only needing 1 device (the camera) to take correctly focused and exposed images.

    Value Range Finder Cameras

Thats another one I am not aware of. Will have to have a look

    Value Range Finder Cameras

Thanks for that. I am based in London, so not close, but not too far either. I am used to using the range finder on my Olympus XA, so anything brighter than that, is good enough for me! What type of price would you ask for any of those?

    Value Range Finder Cameras

Hi all, I have been becoming more interested in range finders, especially the typical run of the mill late 60's to early 80's pre auto focus type fare. It seems to me that these are massively underpriced second hand since everyone seems to want plush SLR's or premium compacts along with the...

Low Light Scenes in Motion Pictures and Still Photography

I love these images. They have an aesthetic quality to them that I really like. Some very meaty information as well in your post. Lighting is something that I have very limited knowledge of. My photography is usually limited to the light that is available to me

Low Light Scenes in Motion Pictures and Still Photography

Thats insane. I am afraid my rather modest collection of cameras get no faster than f2.8

Low Light Scenes in Motion Pictures and Still Photography

Hi everyone, I am fascinated by low light street photography which is rather challenging on film. I love in motion pictures (shot on film,) how the moody night time city scenes look or how the dim indoor scenes have such rich blacks but also vibrant night time colours. An example of this would...

    Cinestill 800t and anti-halation

Thanks for this information! I haven't gotten into the chemical side of photography yet, but maybe it is time.

    Cinestill 800t and anti-halation

Thank you for this information. I have only just discovered this is a thing. I would still like to find out if I can control the halation in 800T as I can get c-41 developed at work, same day, for free! Benefits of working at a University

    Cinestill 800t and anti-halation

Hi all, I am very interested in night time film photography, which is something that is rather difficult to do these days with the lack of high ISO colour films available on the market. I shot my first roll of Cinestill 800T and while none of the photos were great from a photography point of...

    Oldest looking film stock

Hi all, It is great for many people that the currently available film stocks (even ones with names that have been around for decades) are generally updated regularly to become modern emulsions. That got me thinking that when you see a photo that was taken a long time ago, it has a quality that...

    Photo frames

That's much more affordable than I was expecting. I think the places near me are considerably more expensive than that. I have never even heard of The Range, but those look like what I was after. Thanks to everone who suggested those. I am looking forward to getting my photo's framed. First I...

    Photo frames

I really like the idea of spending good money on a bespoke frame for a photo that I think is fantastic, but for now I think that will probably exceed my budget for getting my first prints framed. I should have mentioned that I am looking at £10-£20 for a frame. Much more in line with mass...
