Budget wide angle Nikon Fx lens?

Hey all! I'm finally upgrading to a Nikon D750 after being with a D7100 for a long time! With the upgrade, I need some new FX lenses; I already have a 50 1.8 and a 300 f/4 so I'm just after a nice wide angle. Do you think that a Sigma 100-300mm f4 with a 1.4x woul be long enough? My other option is the old Nikon 300 f4 with a 1.7x

    Wildlife & Birding lens

Hi all, I'm planning on getting the sigma 100-300mm f4 used, and sticking a 1.4x tc on it. This will be used on a Nikon d7100 which has a 1.6x crop factor, and then a further 1.3x crop factor available , which would turn this set up to 'basically' a 250-800mm f5.6. Now, would this be ok for...

    Wildlife and birding lens

I'm considering budget telephoto lens options: - The Sigma 100-300mm f4 with 1.4x or 2x tc - The Sigma 150-500mm - The Nikon 300mm f4 (old) + 1.7x tc Anybody with experience please help!
