I have a Fitbit Charge HR. I use it to track three main things, my sleep, the amount of steps I take each day and the amount of water I drink. The first two are tracked automatically via the device and the water is tracked by updating the app on my smartphone. I'm not sure how accurate it is...

Have you tried turning it off on the phone that works and then trying it? That would point to a conflict with having two phones trying to sync to the same account.

Astrophotography? I've never tried it but read up a bit on it, shooting the Milky Way etc. It seems in those conditions that every stop or fraction of a stop counts.
