I have forgotten before to switch both the lens and camera back to autofocus and had a panic that something was wrong with the camera.

On the 23 you can set manual focus via the push pull focus ring of the lens as well as on the body. If it is set to manual focus this way it disables the auto focus settings in the camera including adjusting and sizing the points. Haven't got the camera with me but I think it's push to auto and...

Nice pic. How do you find the zeiss at 1:1. Read some where that to get 1:1 on the zeiss your almost touching the subject with the lens. Not so great for insects. Currently looking at buying either the fuji 60 zeiss 50 or possibly a tamron 90.

@Nod there's an extra pin on the hotshoe of the xt to enable the supplied flash to draw power from the camera. What is the 60mm like on the xt. I wanted to try my hand at macro but was put off because the 60 is not 1:1.

You can set the ultrasonic cleaner to activate on startup or shutdown.
