I use Pluraleyes for multi cam editing and it works. The only proviso is that it needs clean audio in order to work effectively. I use zoom H4 as a separate source and on board camera recorded sound and this works in allowing the software to sync.

I operated the Steadicam Pilot for some time and then scaled down to Steadicam Merlin. The merlin is a lot more practical in events such as weddings but the key is to get everything balanced to give you good footage. Very steep learning curve but the practice will pay off.
