I've found it quite straightforward, but I keep an old Sony DSC-W70 just for this purpose. Using the twilight setting, with the image against a bright sky then a clear image can be made. May not be the whole image, so a number of photos may be required. i.e. it's a bit haphazard, but easy enough.
