    Macro help please

Hi there, I've recently bought myself the 100m f2.8L IS Macro lens and, after a couple of nice test shots on quite a large spider outside last night, I notice I can only get so close. I used my 7D as I felt the 1.6 crop would allow me to get more of the subject in my picture. But I want to...

Hi Pete, Not related are we?!? I'm Dan Rush... I want to photograph pretty much everything Pete, I love sports photography which I know this camera is great for. I think I'm going to hold out for a 5d Mkii for Wedding photography though. I reckon there'll be a few popping up on...

It is a heavy lens anyway the 150-500mm I use hand held and am pretty tired after a days use. I've not held a 50-500mm but with the extra glass required I'd assume it's quite heavy.

Search Lancashireoatcake on Flickr and you can see pictures I've used it for. Anything over 150mm basically!

I love mine. (Canon version) I have to say the image stabiliser on setting 1 is outstanding. Not needed setting 2 yet!

    Long telephoto options

I have a 150-500 and it's great. 2 settings on OS, one of which is specifically for panning.
