Thanks for all of the comments, much appreciated. It seems that time, and the weather, has not been on my side recently. Hopefully I can get on top of the challenge again and spend a bit more time on the image capture.

Hope your mum's up and about very soon. The operation and recovery is a lot better than it used to be. Same thing happened to my mum last year and two days after the op they had her on her feet. She's fully back to normal now, but it did knock her confidence a bit.

Yep, a large format can be used very easily with a roll film back without utilising any movements. Once you do start using the movements though you'll wonder how you photographed certain things without them. Say good-bye to the majority of converging verticals.
