    Lens Dilemma, 7D + 5D MkII

I need 2.8 for shooting indoor events hand held. I do Landscape shots currently with the 7D so my thoughts were to get at least one wide lens for the 5D to make use of the larger sensor. My train of thought was to replace all the EF-S lenses at some point so I can use both bodies with a smaller...

    Lens Dilemma, 7D + 5D MkII

I have been happy shooting with a 7D for a few years and will likely keep the camera for my 100-400(wildlife, zoo trips and motorsport) but I have bought a 5D MkII and right now I use the 70-200 f4 IS on there and love it to bits. What I would like to do is get another lens for the 5D and sell...

    Lee Filters

I bought a second hand Lee .9 hard grad and it's always left a cast, I've just checked it against my other 3 Lee filters and low and behold the .9 hard grad is the only one without a date etched on so I assume I've been had and I've bought a fake.

    Canon 70-200 2.8 L IS or the 100 - 400 lens

I have both the 70-200 f4 IS and the 100-400L and I will keep both as they both suit different needs for my photography. I would say that the 70-200 f4 IS is the sharpest lens I own and it is small enough and light enough to take travelling so that's the one which goes in my bag for holidays...

    Canon 10-22 EF-S

I have the same lens lineup 17-55 and 10-22 on my 7D and also shoot cars, the UWA is very good for engine bay and interior shots. You would have to watch for distortion at 10-12mm doing rig shots if you are using a short boom.

    Raynox DCR-250 Macro Attachment

Yes, I use mine on a 70-200 f4 IS and it is very good. I'm not really into macro work so didn't want to spend lots on a dedicated macro lens. Couple of examples Square Eyes by Gareth Spiller, on Flickr Baby Bee by Gareth Spiller, on Flickr The Fly by Gareth Spiller, on Flickr...

What is going on with Lee Big Stopper's?

So am I right in saying the Hitech 10 stopper is slightly thinner and this is why you mention the gasket? One of my friends has the Hitech and he posted a shot recently which had a massive blue colour cast, I know Lee still has a cast but I think I right in saying it's nowhere near as bad? The...

What is going on with Lee Big Stopper's?

I finally get a Lee filter holder after a very long wait and when I do want to buy a big stpper they are not available anywhere apart from those jumping on the money grabbing band wagon on flee bay. Why Oh Why can't a UK manufacturing company just pull their finger out and start supplying the...

    Canon 100-400

The 100-400 was the first quality lens I bought for my 40D, I've since upgraded to a 7D and this lens is great. I like the push pull zoom function, I find it quicker and easier to use. The things to watch out for are the twist friction ring, when using the lens have the friction ring undone so...

    New lens for 7d

I'd second that combo, although I went for the 70-200 f4 IS

How to clean Canon 17-55 2.8?

There is a good how to guide up on Youtube for front element removal and dust cleaning behind. I'd watch the clip a few times before trying it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOZRN2mxajk
