Look on eBay for old cable releases (mechanical ones), they can go for really cheap. I got an old HAMA made cable release for 99p and it works really well. :)

Get few lenses, see what fits your photography and then think of upgrading the body. Good start would be something wide like 10-22mm, assuming that you already have 18-55mm kit lens, and also a telephoto lens like 70-300mm range. :)

True true, depending on how good it preforms it might convince me to sell the 5D3 with 85mm. :)

18mm f2 is nice, but guess not what you wanted. :P I would swap my 18mm f2 for 35mm f1.4. 18mm is not bad, but 35mm would be more useful :)

Far from over complicated if you read the manual. But as said, Elinchrom mount modifiers don't come cheap. So do a research on what modifiers you would like to try and calculate that into the price as well. :)

Talking about things that screw into the shutter button, anyone who could recommend a good cable release? I have found a few on amazon, but they get bad reviews (falling apart etc.).

Just checked them on ebay, looks nice but no way cheaper.... neck strap is £24... gordy strap equivalent is $27 (which is ~£17) :thinking: Same here, been using RAW all the time with Canon and its hard to give it up now. :)

Never used the OM-D, but I recently made similar decision. I sold my 24-70L and got X-E1 to use as my everyday camera. It now gets more use than 5D3 because its small and light and I can take it with me all the time. :) The size and weight difference was enough reason to get a smaller camera...

Another vote for Eneloops, they are worth the money. :)
