Honestly, I think I'd go with an iPad. Full screen it's really not as small as you'd think.
To consider, it's also quite a bit bigger than any digital photo frame. Which is basically what you're looking for! A large photo frame :)

The shots look pretty damn good for a first time!
Also, as someone who would like one day to look into wedding stuff, I massively appreciate the write up.
Thanks :)

Oh dear god.
I think Instagram has made this a lot worse. Whilst it can be used correctly, I've seen some complete lack of knowledge with regards to Depth of Field, and trying to recreate Bokeh, that's created some images that some might go 'oh it looks fine' but anyone who knows anything...
Honestly, I'd say stick it on set aperture, set ISO, auto shutter speed. I'd say that's a better place to start, and once you're happier with composition, and the photos that are coming out, then try going into manual.

Depends on the macro lens. A proper macro lens will do as above. An example would be the canon 100 f2.8 L
Something like the canon 24-105 f4L has macro on it, but this is really only because it has a minimal focussing distance of 0.45. Pretty sure it doesn't do 1:1 though.
