I use Luminar 3 all the time and really like it, I upgraded to 4 but went back to 3 as I find it faster to work in on multiple filters. Version 4 seems to be aimed at more amateur users who like AI sliders

Thanks for the replies, I'm hoping the 70-300mm will be sufficient, especially if I use it on the crop camera (same difference though really). It's why I chose this lens rather than carry 2 to cover the range.

Just wanted to add to this thread that I took this to the Galapagos with me and was very happy with it's performance and comfort. The bag has held up very well with no issues (Next stop Antarctica)

Lovely picture, wonderful lighting on the roof - BUT (I hope this doesn't cause offence) I'd retouch or remove the woman in pink as my eye keeps going there (unless she's your wife!)

Just back from the Galapagos and whilst most of the Gulls, Frigates and Boobies were pretty easy when they were gliding some of the others were tricky. The Storm Petrels were very fast and low over the water. And don't get me started on Hummingbirds (on the mainland!)
