You don't get iPhoto on the iPad...just the photos app, the same as on the iPhone.
As for transferring, it seems to only recognise SD-Cards formatted in the camera inserted into the adaptor - similarly it doesn't recognise a random USB stick plugged into the camera connection adaptor.
There...
iPhone does both, if it can't get a GPS lock it triangulates from phone masts which obviously reduces accuracy to around 100m I think. When a suitable GPS signal is available it uses that. I'm guessing though that both TomTom and Co-Pilot will only use the GPS signal as mast triangulation would...
it's a good lens...I don't think I get the best out of it, but this was taken at Silverstone a year or two ago, 300mm if i remember correctly and very little (probably none) PP:
oh, one thing I don't think has been mentioned - is yours the only account on the Mac? If you have more than one account and use fast user switching to switch between them sometimes that can cause problems. You'll usually get and error message when shutting down though letting you know that...
looking at that thread it was an application error that caused their problem (a program called DoubleCommand).
so we don't go over old ground it might be an idea to list what you have already done to try and solve the problem...someone may then be able to point you to a solution?
not necessarily, for star trails you'd need a long exposure such as this - and also out in the country (moorlands?) so that you use the available moon/star light to get an ethereal exposure.
any chance you have any external devices connected to the mac...I have experience in the past of some external devices causing a mac to hang on shut down - if you have, try disconnecting them before shut down.
booting the mac with the shift key held down starts the mac in Safe Boot mode and disables any login items that might be causing the problem. If the mac shuts down properly after booting this way have a look to see if there is anything in your login items list that might be causing the problem.
