NO PICTURE! (banned from taking photos of a t-shirt)

:lol:Give me a break, you're talking rubbish. I'm a graphic designer by trade and I design and print my own t-shirts which I then sell online and to retail outlets. So I know a fair bit about this subject. As MWHCVT says earlier, if anyone was actually wanting to copy this t-shirt and...

NO PICTURE! (banned from taking photos of a t-shirt)

Hey sdouchet, what's with all the hostility? I'm just following Bruce Lee's mantra of living my life. Do you think Bruce asked permission before he kicked someone in the face or karate chopped them in knees? Would it have made a difference if his victims were holding up signs that read "PLEASE...

NO PICTURE! (banned from taking photos of a t-shirt)

Hello everyone, I was on holiday in San Francisco recently and took a photo whilst in Chinatown. It's of a Bruce Lee t-shirt. It had a label on it insisting that no one take a picture. This of course made me more determined to take one. I was just wondering though now - in terms of the...

Thinking of upgrading from the Canon 1000D

Hello everybody  I've had a Canon 1000D/Rebel XS for around 2 and a half years. It was the first digital SLR I ever owned. I do photography as a hobby and I like to think I've learnt and improved my skills on the 1000D. I did a lot of travel photography this year and even had my work...

Do you recommend the Canon EF 28 - 135 mm IS?

Yea, that's what I'm beginning to think. :-/ So given a choice between Sigma 17-70 mm and Tamron 17-50, you think the Tamron is better? Or are they pretty similar? If there's not much different between the two I think I'd prefer the Sigma because of the longer zoom.

Do you recommend the Canon EF 28 - 135 mm IS?

Hi guys, thanks for all the replies. And thanks for the images posted. Look really good. However I've been doing a bit more research this morning and have come across the Sigma 17-70 mm. I've read that it's really sharp. Obviously it isn't anywhere near 135mm in terms of reach, but...

Do you recommend the Canon EF 28 - 135 mm IS?

Hi everyone, hope I can get your opinion on something. I have a Canon 1000D accompanied by a Canon EF-S 18-135mm IS Earlier this year I purchased the Canon EF 50 mm f/1.8 which I find to be so amazingly sharp and so good that I don't want to use anything else. But obviously it's not really a...

    Christmas Card Printing

I have used and highly recommend these guys: http://www.dcs-print.co.uk/ You can order a sample print of your design and then have the costs reimbursed if you choose to make a full order. Their prices are very reasonable and quality is great too.

Printing my photos for the first time - Advice needed!

Thank you all for the replies. Got my order from DS Colour Labs first thing this morning. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Where have these people been my whole life?? I've been searching high and low for the past 6 years trying to find somewhere that could do a half decent job of printing my digital pics. The...

Printing my photos for the first time - Advice needed!

Hello all, I do photography as a hobby, but recently got asked if I would like to display them at a local exhibition. I've never really "professionally" printed my photos before and it's kinda making me panic a bit. :bonk: Every time I've had my holiday photos printed by places like PhotoBox...

Question for people with DSLRs that have HD movie capabilities.

Thanks for the reply, Gazamonk! That sounds good. My only concern is, is recording video on a DSLR tricky considering that it's pretty hefty? I mean, you hold it in one hand, right? Will it be hard to hold steady and not shake?

Question for people with DSLRs that have HD movie capabilities.

Hi everyone, hope you can offer your opinions on something. I have a Canon 1000D that I'm happy with. I just do photography as a hobby every now and then. This weekend my sister is getting married and whilst there is a professional photographer already hired, my sister asked if I could...

Purchased the Canon 28-200mm recently, but unimpressed.

Thanks Andy :thankyou: Yea, I think I'm going to have to accept that there's no such thing as a flawless 'All in One' type lens that does everything perfectly. Not in my price range anyway. I was looking at the Canon 28-135mm and the 17-85mm, but judging by the reviews, even those are a bit...

Purchased the Canon 28-200mm recently, but unimpressed.

Hello again, everybody  Well, the title says it all really. Last week I purchased the Canon EF 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6 for my Canon 1000D. Up until that point I'd only ever used my kit lens (18-55mm). I, as always spent a lot of time reading online reviews before purchasing. It generally...
