Thanks. I'll learn - these are quick edits to see what I can do. :)

I had a go at editing one of the landscape photos I took of Mont Blanc. Before... View: https://www.flickr.com/photos/198653908@N04/53024980819/in/dateposted-public/ After,,, View: https://www.flickr.com/photos/198653908@N04/53024228947/in/dateposted-public/

That's fantastic, and much appreciated. :) I'll have to play around with Photoshop more.

High-end bridge cameras: Sony RX10, Panasonic FZ1000 etc

Feel free to edit the photo. :) I've set the camera to shoot both JPEG and RAW, so I have access to both (definitely saves time when previewing on the computer). I haven't been editing for long, so I haven't explored its full potential.

High-end bridge cameras: Sony RX10, Panasonic FZ1000 etc

Thanks. This was the true test of the camera for me, as I'd only been taking it out on the weekends to practice on wildlife in the UK. I put it through its paces - landscape, street, wildlife and BIF on the fly (the camera is having a bit of a rest now). It's the main reason why I bought the...

High-end bridge cameras: Sony RX10, Panasonic FZ1000 etc

Thought I'd finally throw my hat into the ring and share some photos I took with the RX10 M4 while I was on holiday in France. None of these have been edited except for cropping in from the RAW file. View: https://www.flickr.com/photos/198653908@N04/53014475316/in/dateposted-public/ View...

High-end bridge cameras: Sony RX10, Panasonic FZ1000 etc

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good camera bag for the RX10 (one that can be easily carried over the shoulder when out and about)?

High-end bridge cameras: Sony RX10, Panasonic FZ1000 etc

After much deliberating, I pulled the trigger on the RX10 IV, although I'm experiencing buyer's remorse now. I was quite hung up about the zoom, and preferred the extra 120mm of reach over the FZ2000 (every little helps, right?), but now I'm not so sure. It doesn't seem to make that big of a...

High-end bridge cameras: Sony RX10, Panasonic FZ1000 etc

I've now had a chance to try out both the RX10 IV and FZ2000, albeit the latter without a battery in it because there wasn't a demo model available, and I can definitely say the FZ2000 sits better in my hands. The hand grip is more comfortable, and the difference in weight is noticeable (the...

    Advice on buying camera

I’m currently eyeing up the Panasonic FZ2000, and have a chance this coming weekend to try one out in person. I visited a camera shop in Worcester on Saturday for a hands-on experience with the Sony RX10 IV. The weight was a bit off-putting, especially for the price (£1,499 new). I also didn’t...

High-end bridge cameras: Sony RX10, Panasonic FZ1000 etc

I've got the opportunity to visit a camera shop to try an RX10 IV in person, so I can get a feel for it. They don't have the FZ2000 in-store, but that's almost 200g lighter, so the RX10 IV should still give me an idea what that would be like. Unfortunately, the other 1" cameras outside of the...

High-end bridge cameras: Sony RX10, Panasonic FZ1000 etc

I am a little concerned about the weight - the only camera I've used recently is a Sony SX720HS, which is quite a bit lighter. It's not the same thing, I know, but I tried holding up a 1kg bag of sugar, and wondered how I might be carrying a camera of a similar weight. I'd be using it on...
