    Variable ND Filter Recommendations Please

My advice would be to avoid variable NDs as in my experience the results are usually patchy and they are rarely strong enough to give really long exposure times. You would be better off with a set of individual filters... 3, 6 and 10 stop ideally (ND8, ND64 and ND1000).

    North England Peak District

Hathersage is a good base (if this isn't too late)

    East Anglia Flatford

The footpath is officially closed but I walked from Flatford a week or so ago and it is currently passable but wellies would be a good idea. Alternatively park by the river at Dedham and walk along the Suffolk side of the river from there. The famous three trees are looking a bit battered at the...

    Ireland Dunluce Castle

I've just returned from a very enjoyable trip to Northern Ireland. It was a recce for a future workshop and nearly all the locations exceeded expectations apart from Dunluce Castle, the castle looked amazing but it was impossible to get anywhere near it out of hours. I've seen sunset photos...

A backpack to rule them all.

I use f-stop bags, they have an internal frame and proper adjustable harness so are more comfortable than most camera bags and it's a modular system so you can choose the bag size and the camera compartment size https://shop.fstopgear.com/

    Snettisham Wader Roost

I've been several times over the last few years and Ive noticed it has become increasingly popular... the last few times it has even been busy for the early morning ones and in the evening the car park will be full well before the time they suggest arriving. There is another car park further...

Canon EF 16-35 f4 IS USM and Kase revolution filters

Sorry I should have mentioned, I did trial a set of the filters you are looking at (I was tempted to switch from my LEE Filters to a lighter set up but missed the grads too much) and with the larger size adaptor I could shoot at 14mm on full frame with no vignetting if that helps. I'm the other...

Canon EF 16-35 f4 IS USM and Kase revolution filters

Kase recommend going up a size larger than you need to avoid vignetting so Id recommend getting 82mm which will also future proof you.

    Lightroom learning course?

If I'm allowed to offer my services, I do Lightroom tuition on Zoom or in person (depending on your location of course)

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

A little late to this but I bought the R7 as a second camera to the R5, choosing the crop body as it offered something different (ie the crop factor) to a 2nd full frame camera. In practice while that extra reach is very useful for wildlife (coupled with the 100-500mm is a good combo) and the...

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

For that sort of money the 5D mkIV is a far better option imo, yes the resolution is lower but I never found 30mp insufficient and the dynamic range is excellent.

South-East England Are Sizewell cooling towers still there?

Yes they are still there, I'm not aware of any plans to demolish them, they were for Sizewell A and have been out of commission for some time
