I've been reading through this very useful post. I'm off to Iceland (North East) on Friday coming back on Tuesday. Looking forward to the experience as it will be my first time.

I too am looking for one that can open to almost be flat to the floor too but light enough to walk up some fells etc. So I'm keeping my eyes on this one :)
A good. Way to find the locations when starting out, you could pop in to local galleries or shops to see what images are on sale. Then research or ask where the locations are. Them go off, shoot and even compare your work against the images on sale.
I ditched my flex and mini PW's for the 622c's. Never looked back. For the HUGE saving you can pick up some more flash units.

I have two of these bad boys. They are fantastic. great underwater, superb out of water. video is superb and stills are impressive too.
