The D7000 all the way. The technology your getting for that price is outstanding, the processor is top quality and I've heard it works in low light incredibly well.

That sounds like a good price but the D3100 is only a bit more and your getting a lot extra for the price. That said the D40 is still an amazing camera! I think it was discontinued in 2008 but I got mine 2009 because there were so many that had been built due to it being such a popular camera...

I always keep it attached, Even if your camera has a dust removal system, it's best to keep it on as much as possible (like, only remove the lens when your using another.)

Thanks for this! :) I'm more inclined to the 600D at the moment, my friend has a 550D and gets great videos from it. Plus it's way more portable. But the XL2 does have a f1.6 lens and I seeing as it's built purely for film, I would guess it gives better results?
