    Creating this look? - How?

I'm familiar with the log exposure side of the shot. It's more the post processing. I've not had long exposure city scapes with the same colour grading in my experience.

    Creating this look? - How?

I really like this style of processing for cityscape pictures. What would the typical adjustments be in Lightroom/Photoshop?

A bit of bad news, then a huge bit of good news

Well i wasn't familiar with GGS until the day i cracked my screen, so no. Plus it was fitted so flush with the camera, i just assumed it was the stock screen.

No idea to be honest. I just noticed a smal crack ,then touching it made it work its way across the screen. Like you said, the relief was unimaginable lol

A bit of bad news, then a huge bit of good news

I was just playing with my D7000, and to my horror discovered a crack in the rear screen. Undoubtably i was devastated. Then to my upmost delight, it turns out the previous owner had fitted a screen protector, and it was that which had been cracked. So happy right now, i've ordered a...

Common mistakes for Beginner landscape photographers

Mark I agree with the HDR stuff. I've had a play with it myself, but can't stand the over processed stuff people churn out. I'd take subtlety any day.

Common mistakes for Beginner landscape photographers

Then i read about dof and the like, then whacked it upto f22 and beyond. Only recently have i read about the ~f8 sweet...

Common mistakes for Beginner landscape photographers

Regularly at work we have meetings to reflect on the good/bad of a project, in order to learn from the lessons of previous work. Bringing that to the world of landscape photography, have any experienced folks out there got some 'DO NOT's' when it comes to landscapes. What are the...

    Cheap speed strap

I'm currently looking for a decent speed strap to use with my D7000. The stock strap is a little clumsy at best. I've found this one on eBay http://biSPAM/13BYtRa Anyone know if it's any good?

    Lens feels 'loose'

Hi, i've just purchased a Sigma 18-50mm 3.5-4.8 (i think thats right) off ebay. It turned up yesterday, and im happy with the extended range i now have, however the part of the lens which moves in/out feels quite loose. It will actually wiggle about a 1mm either way :( Have i bought a lemon?
