    NTSC Camera in the UK

Before Christmas I treated myself to a new compact camera for the hills. I bought the Panasonic LX5 and had the pleasure of it's company for about a month before my Wife left it lying in London, Opps I've finally save up a few quid again and went to buy a replacement. I found on on Ebay...

Should people have the right not to be photographed

A complex question to be sure - I'd say purely from a liberty point of view if you're in public and people can see you then you can't expect any real privacy. I think the problem is between stalking type issues and publicising something without permission. For instance, if you wee'd yourself...

Hmm it's a nice life on benefits it seems

Err, not had 15 kids that I didn't have the means to support? It's time we brought back the stocks. If we have no choice but to fund these dodgers then we should at least get the opportunity to pelt them with fruit :bat:

Hmm it's a nice life on benefits it seems

I don't understand at what point benefits stopped being for emergencies and for people incapable of work and started being a lifestyle choice. Benefit should be cut to an absolute minimum for people who have been out of work for an unreasonable period. It should also be largely paid in vouchers...

    Accurate Colours

Someone has asked me could I take a photo of the hull of their fibreglass boat so they can get paint to match it's colour. It seemed like a good exercise to see how accurate I could get the colour in a picture. (The boat is bright orange). Any tips?

I do lots of camping and walking. Nothing better than sitting round a fire having a few ales and a bit of chat..

Buy a flash or stick with builtin?

Great plan. What about an onboard flash diffuser - would it be a good stopgap?

Buy a flash or stick with builtin?

Should mention, I know I could get better kit but at this point as a beginner the cost of the SB400 would be my absolute max. I could possibly upgrade again in the future but at this point while I'm feeling my way around I need to keep the costs down.

Buy a flash or stick with builtin?

I have a Nikon D3000 and can't decide if I should buy a better flash. I like to take photos of people indoors (family / parties etc) and am wondering if a low end flash might get me better results. Am thinking of the SB400 at £140 or so as I definitely couldn't consider anything more expensive...

Name a few classic TV comedies

I'd vote for swapping between Dave and Gold - they have non-stop genius British comedies. The pick of the bunch has to be One Foot, Fawlty Towers (Flowery *****?), Only Fools, Vicar of Dibley, Porridge and the only one not yet mentioned - Father Ted (yes, technically Irish but still great).

    Hi from Northern Ireland

Hi all, I do alot of walking and camping and have always taken lots of photos. I was tired of the low quality of my images so I've upgraded to a Nikon D3000 with the only problem being I've absolutely no idea how to use it :bang: I've been practicing and reading plenty so hopefully it will...
