    Safari - Tripod?

Really will depend on how much space in vehicle of if you plan to do walking on your safai trip. Also at some of the camps,it is possible to get good shots from within the safety of the lodge environment. This is a site I frequent, with a recent discussion on same issue...

What the most popular lens you guys used for bird images

That is of great help thanks. Interesting that you prefer both lenses minus the 1.4 TC. People do say that the TC and the 70-200 do go very well together both on the f/4 and f/2.8. A lot of my time will be spent on vehicle based safaris,so I have also had a good luck at the 100-400. I was in...

    Super tele zooms ?

HDEW currently have the 400mm f/5.6 on offer for £829. I have not seen it lower anywhere else. If I could make my mind up between going either Canon or Sony dslr,I think I would have bought it by now.

What the most popular lens you guys used for bird images

I will be using mine for mainly vehicle safaris. Sometimes walking safaris as well. That is why I think the 300mm F4 might give me more flexibility. With the 1.4 ext for longer reach and birds in a bush.... Still cannot decide which way to go on the new camera as well. Canon makes a lot of...

That is the way I am leaning as well. Gives more flexibility 300 and then 400+ with 1.4 extender.

    Which DSLR for quietest shutter?

Only got the Local Currys around close to where I live, with not many dslrs.. So not much choice to listen too. Tried a few a Man airport but not ideal environment. Looked at YT videos, Am tempted to just buy a 70D and try it on silent mode. Just looking for advice.

Best settings to use for night capturing?

Get the iso as high you are comfortable with and then take lots of images reducing the iso as you go.

Calling all Sony Alpha users! (Part 5)

Thinking about getting the 77mk2. Could anybody using the Sony 77mk2,compare the shutter sound volume to the sony 77mk 1 or canon in silent shuter mode. I am a wildlife viewer and looking for camera with minimal shutter sound. Coming from a Bridge and CSC world ,I find the sound of the...

    Which DSLR for quietest shutter?

I am just about to purchase new dslr and sound of the shutter will be a significant point in the decision process. Spend 2 much money and time on wildlife viewing, find the sound of the camera shutter to be very annoying in an otherwise peaceful world. Cannot make my mind up between Sony 77...
