How do you work out what shutter speed is required when using ND filters in bulb mode? Ive just been taking random exposure at different time but there has to be a better and quicker way.

I went out to take some pictures tonight and since I dont have any filters yet I tried to do this shot in multiple exposures and them merge them in photshop using the merge to HDR function, but when I did this it has left a strange effect around the tree edges, does any one know why this has...

I took a pano of a friend fish tank yesterday but didnt notice the glare from a window thats on the left hand side, Is there anyway to remove it, ive tried the dodge/burn tool but it seems to darken the whole area and makes it stand out more. any help would be much appreciated, I use CS3
