I have been to every place you mention other than Sirmione I must suggest you head straight to Verona after Venice. A lovely city with lots to see, where one night is adequate or half a day. You would be using a lot of valuable time driving if you went to Florence. Florence is my favorite city...

Buy a cheapish compact for family pics/adventures. Lumix LX100 / Sony RX100 Keep the canons and do the weddings. Sell everything after the weddings and buy a Leica Q / other high end small system. IMO

Do make sure you head over to the memorial, and the museum. whilst I find museums rather boring, I thought this one was excellent.

Just to throw an idea around... public transport in Japan is superb and efficient.. much quicker than driving to places. From your list I have only been to Osaka, Nara, and Kyoto. I would say to spend at least two nights in Kyoto. - Kinkaku-Ji is marvelous. You also have the bamboo...

I select all images. 'Quick check' The ones I like I mark with a 1 star (just press 1 on the keyboard). Then Filter>on>1star only Then select all Edit image window, and go down them all. Then at the end>Batch process.

If you want the same quality as the 5D in low light, but you want it small/light... then Leica Q Typ 116 is the camera for you. If you can compromise a bit, and don't want to spend that amount.. X100 range... These are both fixed focal length though. I was looking at the RX100 vs LX100 and...

I was in the Mara and went over to the Mara river where they cross from Serengeti to Mara. Yes sometimes they were close (Elephants, Giraffe, Buffalo) but the rarer sights were not.

I took : 6D + 150-600 500D 17-50 It was perfect for me and the 500D hardly got used. the 150 end wasn't bad for landscapes really.. I didn't want to switch lenses at all due to the dust, so it worked well. Get an excellent backpack that fits them in along with room for passport etc.

Just picked up a used LX100 and so far it seems great! What accessories are folks using? Straps, cases, anything else useful?
