Is the old 70-200 F4 still decent? I have sold my 70-200 2.8 as just need something smaller and lighter and rarely used it at 2.8 anyway. On a budget so the F4 falls in to price range, but so does an import 70-180 Tamron G2. Any other light zoom option to consider over those?

So another video question on the A9 and getting head around exposure. I have set it to manual mode. 1/50 shutter to double frame 25 frame rate. In auto iso I can adjust exposure. In manual iso I can’t adjust exposure. So just wondering what’s the best way to get exposure correct. Auto iso...

Tried 2 copies of the 35mm Samyang 2.8 and both were pretty whiney when focussing. Is this a Samyang thing or just apparent in this lens. I have found some posts online of people complaining about the noise but nothing about their other lenses such as the 1.8 version.

Got a Samyang 35mm 2.8 coming today as just wanted something tiny and light to tide me by. I know some of them are not always perfect. What is the best way to check for focus and de-centering issues etc?

That 24-50 would be nice as long as it’s not too large and expensive (which I’m sure it will be )

Bare bones at the moment. A9 + 70-200 2.8 mk1 plus 3 batteries! I was going to shell out on some primes for the A9 and try some more video but we have had some other financial stuff that has taken priority. I might just hold for a bit, by a cheap as chips prime and see how things settle...
