    Donington Park - Best spots

You can park infield again this season for the first time in years. Costs £12 on top of your normal ticket price according to the email I got last week, so might be worth considering. Please bear in mind that Donington is rather hilly, and the spectator access around the track is either grass...

Panning - what am I doing wrong??

Is this the image stabilised one? If so, it doesn't appear to have a panning mode so turn off IS or you'll be fighting against it as you're moving the lens which won't help the resulting shots.

    Yongnuo RF-602 instructions required

There's not really a lot to them, and the instructions are so badly translated that they're near worthless anyway. Simple steps are: - Put batteries in - connect tx to camera and rx to flash - turn everything on - shoot Edit - I tend to turn the triggers on before turning the camera and flash on.

    Best Book to Learn Java?

I'm not familiar with the game, but it sounds like a good plan  Maybe best starting with the dice rolling part with a simple command line interface initially. If he'd like someone to cast an eye over his code once he's got something up and running, I'd be happy to take a look.

    Best Book to Learn Java?

    Best Book to Learn Java?

Have a google for "Thinking In Java" by Bruce Eckle. You can download the whole book for free, along with all of the source code. Might be a better bet than paying for a book if he's not sure which way to go. Get that, a copy of Eclipse IDE (www.eclipse.org) and the JDK and he's away. The Sun...

    Todays teachers strike

I did work on site there for a bit. "Doorman" would've been a cool job as they all seemed to have automatic weapons ;)

    Todays teachers strike

I never said I was a public sector worker ;) My work does mean I get to see the staggering amount of cash wasted by the public sector on a daily basis though. The government would be far better plugging these hole in their finances before implementing blanket cuts and punishing the few groups...

Are you saying that if you were suddenly forced to lose a portion of your take home pay that you'd be happy? With no alternative then to go along with it if you wish to continue in your current career?
