Trade Canvas Print - Our community, photos, offers & more

I can't overstate how pleased I am with the framed canvases I ordered and received from Trade Canvas Print. I ordered two 2 feet x 4 feet canvases on Tuesday at just before 1pm, they arrived this morning (Thursday) at 9.40 am. They are already up on the wall and look great. First time having...

    Best shows on Prime/Netflix?

On Netflix, Sex Education is brilliant, a little bit of suspension of belief required as the setting is odd... Modern day UK, with strong American influences and 80s styling... You'll see what I mean if you try it! Clever, awkward, touching and most importantly funny. Also Gilliam Anderson. One...

    Beginner The daftest of questions...

Also speaking as a beginner here, it never occurred to me to get the camera to do some of the "working out" for me  I wish it had ! I wanted to get "milky / smokey" water shots, since getting the camera and seeing the amazing ones others have taken. Read up on how to do it, first...

    The New Top Gear

Cause I'm a curious sort of chap, I've done some research :) Native to South America, Mexico and some parts of the USA, most are found in Brazil... so pronunciation wise... "American" English: jag-warr Spanish: Hag-waar Poruguese ( Brazil ) : zhag-waar ( in short, only we say jag-you-arr...

    The New Top Gear

I'd agree 100% about the Eddie/Bernie bit, f-fwd through it as can't abide either of 'em :) As for the car/boat, I was pleasantly surprised, they actually made something that worked, a change from old TG where creations were inevitably crap :) ( in other words, it didn't live DOWN to my...

Beginner Nikon D3100 aperture setting Question, might be a daft one !

Thank you both, that makes a sort of sense ! I had thought that it was some sort of lock on the camera, as despite the lens saying 3.5-5.6, I can narrow the aperture way beyond 5.6 ! Also, annoyingly, means i might have to fork out for the 35mm 1.8 I've had my eye on :D Thanks for the speedy...

Beginner Nikon D3100 aperture setting Question, might be a daft one !

This is with standard kit lens 18-55 1:3.5-5.6 G Have a premonition that this might be why ? ( and I'm being dim  ) !

Beginner Nikon D3100 aperture setting Question, might be a daft one !

Simply this, in M mode the camera, it seems, is not fully manual, it imposes limits on aperture, most often only allowing me to go to f5.6, when I would like to be more open. I've looked for info via a popular search engine and on this site.. but drawing a blank. Am I missing a trick? Is there...

Aldi and Lidl - is it just me...

I'm a big fan of Aldi, have never frequented a Lidl, and in the fortunate position of having an Asda next door to local Aldi, I write 2 lists, essentially get everything I can in Aldi, then nip into Asda for the odd brand item or more specialised things. Over the years, I've saved £100s, though...

    Americanism

There is nothing new under the sun... George Bernard Shaw said " England and America are two countries separated by a common language" And in 1887, Oscar Wilde wrote "We have really everything in common with America nowadays except, of course, language." ☺
