    Yes i realise they aren't great lol, just trying to get used to using the camera. This was just taken in the back garden, so back ground isn't great. I'm not sure how to change the focus point to get the clearer eyes like you said? I thought that after looking back at the pics. Lol the ugly...

    so the camera came today.... my heads spinning i can't get the hang of it lol. took a few photos in auto mode to get the hang of the most basic controls etc. next is trying to understand how to use the other modes :hungover:

    Oh yes very similar. I was deciding whether to go for that one or not, but in the end went for the 3300 as it was a bit cheaper (and that was even over what I was originally intending to spend lol). Is that weekly task on here?

    As I am a total beginner, without any previous experience what so ever, I've gone for the Nikon d3300 with 18-55 VR II lens to start with. Researched a few, but with my limited knowledge and budget this seemed to be the best fit for me for now - although in sure I'll be wanting a new one before...
