Won a cruise but turned it down.

About a year ago, a lot of people here in Denmark were called up by "santa" just around christmas telling people that they had won some big prize. This was off cause a big scam. But the beauty of it all was the fact that this call was made from somewhere in the caribian and those calling could...

Feel free to call me a complete fruitcake....

Well in regards to fps, my wildlife photography is pretty much limited to the animals in the local zoo and they are not moving around much, så a high fps is not really an issue, but for wildlife, I can see a reason for a high fps.

Feel free to call me a complete fruitcake....

Maybe I am the only real fruitcake here, because I have no idea why a 5D is not suitable for wildlife pictures. Someone enlighten me please.

    Almost picked my camera

No doubt in my mind that I would go for the D90 (which I already own) I simply can't live without the LCD screen on top of the camera and, as others mention, the build in focus motor makes it easier to pick up used lenses at a bargain. Older lenses WILL work on the D5000 but only with manual...

    Canon 400D vs. Nikon D90 ??

Personally, I think you will feel that the LCD display on top of the camera on the D90 is a great advantage. I used to own a D40 and when I bought the D90 I found out how much easier it was to adjust settings when you have an LCD on top of the camera. Furthermore: A friend of mine bought the...

    Macro lens

I have a 105mm Sigma which is a great macro lens. Not sure if you can get it new for £300, but ebay (where I got mine) may be an option. I payed about 250£ for a lens in mint condition

What to bring on my vacation

Thank you fro your reply Dan. I was also considering leaving the Nikkor at home as well as this is fully covered by the tamron. Even though the Tamron have received some less than flettering reviews around the www, I am really fond of it - but then again, I am just an amateur and may not have as...

What to bring on my vacation

Greetings all. In a few weeks, my girlfriend and I will be travelling to Phuket, Thailand. As I am a very enthusiastic amateur photographer, I will off cause bring my camera gear. However, given my present equipment list (as listed below) it gets quite heavy, is there any part of my...

    Nikon D5000 uv lens filters

Hi Paulo I am pretty sure that the filter diameter should be 67mm. You can actually use any kind of filter you want, depending on what effect you are looking for. You should be able to find any kind of filters on e-bay or any other online camerashop for that matter. Hope this helps /Jesper

    Hello from Denmark

Hi everybody Found this forum by coincidence and thought it looked great. I have been posting on another danish forum, but it seems to me that all people think about is throwing mud at each other and ranting other users. Seems to me that that isn't the big problem here. I take pictures...
