I bought my first dslr a few weeks ago and that was the D90! I absolutely love it :) I much preferred the feel of it to the smaller D40 and I wanted something that would last me longer before I wanted to upgrade. Unfortunately I have exams at the moment though so playing with it is on hold :( ...

I have a 8GB and then a 4GB as a backup, but 2 4GBs would do the job too. Just depends how often you're going to upload photos to the computer. Oh and I shoot in RAW+JPEG :)

Anyone know which Lowepro would be best fit?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a protective lens case that will fit the Nikon 70-300mm VR with it's lens hood inverted? I have looked at some of the Lowepro, Tamrac and Hama offerings but I want the best possible snug fit and wondered if anyone actually has anything which does the job...

I have stopped worrying (!) and have to say I am very pleased with the lens - the VR is fantastic!! Would highly recommend the lens to anyone.

I'll be living in Vancouver, Canada, for 9 months from September. If I had problems with the lens out there does anyone know if it would it have to be sent back to the UK to be covered by warranty? Or would I be able to get it sorted in the US/Canada for free? I realise I'm probably being abit...

Well that makes me feel much better! I was really worried I'd been lumped with a lens without any warranty! Now I can go and enjoy playing with the new toy :)

Yeah the invoice has a VAT Reg no, Tax date and VAT breakdown. Will Nikon UK really provide warranty on a US model? I'm surprised by that!
