Looks very tempting over the D800 for me, just wait for the prices to settle down a bit and read a few reviews but at around 1500-1600 I think this would make a cracking purchase. Unfortunate Amazon have put their price up, didn't they do something similar with the D800 initially at £2099...

Well these are up for £91.39 down from £99 so just ordered a couple, that's me well stocked up on memory for now!

How are you testing it? Maybe your USB connection isn't quick enough to test those speeds? Have you got a USB 3.0 card reader?

Cool, wasn't sure but I do remember it being quite a big upgrade on the firmware which made a lot of 7D owners quite happy!

A really good price for the D800, surprising it is at that price as I've found a lot of places at duty free these days are more expensive than online! Might be worth buying some cheapo ticket, buy the camera, go pick up the camera and then not bother getting on the plane lol.

Probably just some random bird who tagged along, being close friends with him would be worth a lot more than £10k over the years!

Depends on what you are looking for in terms of size and speed. I picked up the 90MB/s 32GB CF card and it was like £35 cheaper than I've seen before

Didn't the Canon 7D recently have a firmware upgrade which allowed you to shoot at a higher fps? But what you say does sound true, the image files are huge so it does make sense that it won't be able to cope with trying to process all that data quick enough.

Possibly and that does make sense, that is one downside of the D800 is how big the files are in RAW format. Going to eat into memory space! That sounds true as well! Maybe in a year or so they will give it a firmware update to boost it up to any other competition which may harm the D800...

Just bought a Sandisk 32GB Extreme Compact Flash 90MB/S card for £99, had my eye on that for a while and usually around over £135 so not a bad price at all. Thanks for the heads up again!
