I'm a beginner and finding the 55-250 to be a great lens for me; I'm on my phone so can't link, but if you look on my Flickr you'll see the motorbike shots are all with it and most of the first wildlife shots in India are with it too

I accepted that I'm a massive geek long ago! I know what you mean though, I generally like to blend into the background and don't like getting attention... I need to try and get along to some TP meets and start playing with the other TOGs!

I just had an email pop up from moneysupermarket; this was one of the deals it was promoting. I have no idea if it's a good deal, or a good scanner... but I though it might appeal to those shooting on film and wanting to scan...
