I have a question for any fellow Olympus 75mm 1.8 owners...
I love then lens, and think it's fantastic. The below photo I'm happy with, nice and sharp, exposure etc etc.
However, when I zoom to 100%, it kind of looks like a painting, there is a strange "texture" to the image. I don't know if...
Stuff for sale if anyone is interested.

Incredible macro shots!!
Uploading from my phone, from a photo transferred from em5 mark 2. No idea how this will look on the forum on a big screen.
Anyway, amazingly cool cat I saw walking by the river in some woods near knaresborough in Yorkshire
Thanks Ned, good to know. I haven't had the chance to take mine out in proper rain yet, bit nervous about it when the day does come!
Those comparisons were interesting to see Damianmkv, not much in it as far as I can see which is good. I always think that if people are having to scrutinise...
I started a new job on Monday, and found out I get a £750 allowance to spend on certain things, camera equipment is one of them. The 40-150mm 2.8 Pro could be within reach soon :)
Just need to establish if I can make up the difference over the £750 mark...
I will have the following Olympus...
Hi Gad Westy,
I went to India a few years ago (2009) with nothing but my Nikon D80 and a 1.8 50mm lens, and some of my favorite ever photos still, were taken there. Such a great place to wonder around with a camera, so whatever you take I'm sure you'll have a great time!
In terms of lenses, a...
First time I have heard of HDEW on this forum. I read the trust pilot reviews, and seems to get great feedback. Guessing that they are a good company to buy expensive kit of based on that?
I don't think you will regret it, it really is a very nice lens. Hope to see some of your photos on the forum soon :)
I will probably end up buying back the primes in a couple of years I suspect! They are nice and cheap comparatively speaking which is another added benefit to MFT.
Cheers
I have the standard Olympus 1.8 primes, 17mm, 25mm and 45mm.
Recently got the 12-40mm Pro lens.
To be honest, the Pro has stayed on my camera 95% of the time since getting it. I like the added DOF (or reduced!) you get with the 1.8 on the primes, but the difference isn't enough to outweigh...
Haha, yes, such is the internet, and the reason I asked here, hoping for some more insightful responses :)
Well, total cost of equipment comes to around £2500, but I was specifically talking about insuring a specific lens against things like scratches.
Looking at this company...
What are peoples thoughts on putting a £30 UV filter on a £700 lens to protect the glass?
I hear mixed things, such as if you hit the UV filter and it breaks the shattered glass will cause more damage than if you didn't have it.
There is also the issue of any lost image quality.
I...
