    Anyone shooting weddings w/primes only?

New convert here. Sigma 35mm 1.4 replaced my 28-70 last year and I've just replaced my 70-200 with a 135 1.8. Also got a 50 1.4 in the bag and a 28 for the groups. Though I think I need an 85 1.4 to fill that gap.

    Long primes and their practicalities

It had a road-test on the weekend, it seems really good but only in particular scenarios. That being said, I think the 85mm might fall short more than the 135mm would be too long. It works here: But that is quite literally the only shot I'll get from that location without moving around and...

    Long primes and their practicalities

Following on from this thread: https://www.talkphotography.co.uk/threads/wedding-togs-primes.584476/ I'm curious as to how many of you use primes at weddings, more specifically primes that are quite long (85mm+) My 70-200 died and I bought the Sony 135mm f/1.8 (I'm a Sony shooter, we've got to...

    Wedding Togs - Primes

Hi all, My trusty Sony 70-200 2.8 G is on its last legs, it's served me well for the past 5 years but is giving me a few problems now so I'm looking to replace it. I typically shoot with a 35mm 1.4 on one body and 70-200 2.8 on the other. I switch over to a wide angle for groups but for the...

    Wedding with 1 prime lens

If group photos are required then the 35mm. If not then a 50mm or 85mm.

    Wedding 2nd shooter advice

Where are you based? You should do the shoots for free on the understanding that anything you take on the day can be used for portfolio purposes.

Beginner Photographing Corals in a Glass Tank

In all probability the reason that you're struggling is because there's not enough light. Try finding a nice bright light in the house and bringing it along. Put it to the side of the tank to give the corals some contrast and shadows, it should allow for a faster shutter speed. You might...

    Travel friendly bag

Hi All, I'm currently using a pretty standard bag. However, this year I have 3 destination weddings booked and so I'm looking for something rigid that will protect my cameras on a plane but also small enough to be taken on as hand luggage. Any recommendations? I assume a few of you will have...

Beginner Long exposure and remote shutter release.

Yes but it does solve the problem of camera movement when pressing the shutter.
