    I had a 10D some time ago and had a similar problem with a Sigma 70-210 lens. Sometimes it would take a shot no problem, but sometimes it would throw up ERR99. I could never pin point the error. It seemed to work at some focal lengths, but not others, same with the apertures, some but not...
