I can see all the plus's for a tripod with just the one drawback "cumbersome". I use a monopod, firmly braced and get the shutter speed down farely low but I carry most of my tog stuff on a motorbike BUT, if I could find a sturdy travel tripod at a sensible price....I'd buy it!

Cheers st...been looking up on the focus issue and as you said, it seems manual is the way to go. Going to have a play asap....Fun is in the learning although it sometimes doesn't seem so ;)

WOW! Thanks guys for all the advice, it seems that for my needs the Rode Videomic would be the way to go, and I suppose manual focusing, tho I would appreciate any advice on the best way to set this up i.e. outside shots with near to far focusing....Hope that makes sense. Thanks again guys.

Sorry for the basic questions and any help would be much appreciated. I've been thinking about vid on the Canon (650d) for some time and one of the issues is audio. When I have shot inside with the on board mic it sounds slight treble/echo ? and outside, the slightest wind makes a terribly...

Hi everyone, just a quick 'Hello', been away for a few months having a knee replaced which was compounded by a broken ankle but although walking like a Womble, I'm on the mend (till the other is done :'( )

Bought mine from the local Tesco store on saturday, they had a couple in stock. This is my first ipad so can't compare to others but it really is a nice bit of kit, just need a case + the camera connection thingy and I'm set :thumbs:

Yep, I've used one before, even an 'SLR' and sometimes used shutter priority....WOW :lol:. Thanks for the input especially your answer to the live view question :thumbs:
